Information We Collect

Personal Information

When you create an account, we collect your full name, email address, phone number, and residential address. This information is necessary to generate your LeaseWorthy™ Score report and verify your identity.

Financial Data (via Mastercard)

With your explicit consent, we connect to your bank account through Mastercard to access read-only transaction data. This includes deposit history, recurring payments, and account balances used to calculate your financial health score.

Payment Information (via Stripe)

When you purchase a report, your payment is processed securely by Stripe. We receive a transaction confirmation but never have access to your full card number, CVV, or billing details.

How We Use Mastercard

Read-Only Access

Mastercard connects to your bank with read-only permissions. We cannot initiate transactions, transfer funds, or modify your account in any way.

Transaction Categorization

Your transaction data is analyzed to identify recurring rent payments, income deposits, and spending patterns. This data powers your LeaseWorthy™ Score — a 0–100 financial health metric.

Credential Security

We never see, store, or have access to your bank login credentials. All authentication happens directly between you and your bank through Mastercard's secure infrastructure.

Payment Processing

Stripe Integration

All payment processing is handled by Stripe, a PCI DSS Level 1 certified payment processor — the highest level of certification in the payment industry.

What We Store

We only store a Stripe customer ID, transaction ID, and payment status for record-keeping. We do not store credit card numbers, expiration dates, or CVV codes on our servers.

Refund Policy

If you experience a technical issue preventing report generation, contact our support team for a full refund within 30 days of purchase.

Data Security

Encryption

All data is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.3 and at rest using AES 256-bit encryption. Your information is protected by the same standards used by major financial institutions.

Infrastructure

Our servers are hosted in secure, access-controlled data centers with 24/7 monitoring, intrusion detection, and automated threat response systems.

Regular Audits

We conduct regular security audits, penetration testing, and vulnerability assessments to ensure our systems remain secure against emerging threats.

Data Retention

Report Storage

Generated LeaseWorthy™ Score reports are retained for 1 year from the date of creation, after which they are automatically deleted from our systems.

Account Deletion

You may request complete deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting support@leasedefend.co. We will process your request within 30 days.

Backup Retention

Encrypted backups may persist for up to 90 days after deletion for disaster recovery purposes, after which they are permanently purged.

Your Rights

Access & Portability

You have the right to request a copy of all personal data we hold about you. We will provide this in a structured, machine-readable format within 30 days.

Correction & Deletion

You can update your personal information at any time through your account settings, or request that we correct or delete inaccurate data.

Opt Out

You may opt out of marketing communications at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email or updating your notification preferences in your account settings.

Consent to Receive Messages

By providing your mobile phone number and requesting a verification code, you consent to receive SMS text messages from LeaseDefend, including one-time verification codes and account-related notifications. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services.

Message Frequency & Rates

Message frequency varies based on your activity. Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier plan. LeaseDefend does not charge you for text messages.

Opt-Out and Help

You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message; you will receive a confirmation and no further texts. Reply HELP for assistance, or email support@leasedefend.co. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

No Sharing of Mobile Information

We do not sell or share your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Your phone number is used solely to deliver the verification codes and account notifications described here.
